The box follows the usual ETB recipe, with 9 booster packs, an exclusive promo and the standard play accessories, all dressed in anniversary white and gold. Here is the exact contents list announced by The Pokémon Company, item by item.

Nine packs against a 128-card set completes nothing, and that is fine: an ETB is an entry point, not a ready-made collection. What you are paying for is the promo, the storage box, and packs where every single card shines.
Why is Nidorina on the promo card?
Because Nidorina is number 0030 in the Pokédex, and this whole box celebrates a 30th birthday. The full-art promo, illustrated by Taiga Kasai, pushes the wink further by packing 30 Nidorina into a single scene, under a sun shaped like Pikachu's silhouette.

Gameplay-wise, the card stays on theme: 90 HP, a Share Happiness Ability that heals 30 damage from one of your Pokémon once per turn, and a Bite attack for 30 damage. Nobody will play it competitively, and that is not the point. The Pokédex text printed on the card gives the real reason to love the pick: "The horn on its head has atrophied. It's thought that this happens so Nidorina's children won't get poked while their mother is feeding them." Choosing Nidorina over yet another Pikachu or Charizard, for an anniversary set, is a genuinely nice idea and collectors have said as much.
An all-foil set, a first in 30 years
The ETB packs pull from a 128-card set (plus secret rares) where absolutely everything is foil, basic Energy included. No Western expansion had done that in three decades of the Pokémon TCG. Every pack also carries one of the set's 30 Pikachu, entrusted to 30 different artists, from Ken Sugimori, who drew the original 151 Pokémon, to Tomokazu Komiya.

The set also debuts the Futuristic rarity, opalescent cards by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN: Mewtwo ex (157/128) and Mew ex (158/128) can be pulled from boosters, so potentially from your ETB. And if Wintr Wandr's Eevee is the card that gets you, the Eevee crystal LED Poké Ball is the light-up version, made to sit above the binder.

Standard ETB or Pokémon Center ETB: what changes?
Two versions of the box exist, and they are not equal. The Pokémon Center version carries 11 booster packs instead of 9 and two Nidorina promos instead of one, one of them stamped with the Pokémon Center logo. The rest of the contents is identical.

The catch for European readers: pokemoncenter.com ships to the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, not to the rest of Europe. Here, this version only arrives through import middlemen or the secondary market, with shipping, possible customs fees and the reseller's margin stacked on top. For the 25th anniversary, the Pokémon Center version is precisely the one that appreciated most; the 30th should follow the same slope, but buying it at 3 times MSRP to bet on that is not a plan.

What is a fair price for the 30th Celebration ETB?
MSRP is $49.99 in the US, and the recommended price sits between 55.99 and 59.99 € in Europe. Anything well above that is speculation on your impatience: as I write this, French pre-orders range from 69.90 € at reasonable shops up to 169.90 €, even 199 € at some specialists, and eBay listings clear 300 €.
My advice fits in one sentence: do not pay more than 60 € (or much above MSRP wherever you live) for this ETB. The Pokémon Company has announced the biggest print runs in TCG history for this set, precisely to break this kind of surge, and restocks are expected after the launch wave. Did the 25th anniversary ETB gain value, and should you seal this one?
The precedent exists and it is measurable. The Celebrations ETB from the 25th anniversary, released on 8 October 2021 at around $50, held 10 Celebrations packs, 5 packs from other expansions and a foil Greninja promo. Five years later it trades at an average of $116 sealed on StockX, with sales between $70 and $160 over the last twelve months. A bit more than double in five years: respectable, far from the stories of boxes that pay for a house.
Nothing guarantees the 30th does as well. Celebrations landed in the middle of the Covid TCG boom with still-modest print runs; the 30th arrives with record print runs by design. My position, the same as for the rest of the line: buy this box to open it or to display it, not to flip it. If you absolutely want a sealed piece, aim for the Pokémon Center version, the most volume-constrained, or one of the ex boxes from the same wave such as the Sylveon ex Box of 16 September, which we covered in detail.

Why is there no 30th Celebration booster display?
The Pokémon Company chose not to sell this set as 36-pack booster displays in the West: packs only come through sealed products, the ETB first among them. Only the Japanese M6a version sells as a display, through import. That is what makes picking the right box matter more than usual.
