The Nintendo Direct of 9 September 2026 finally detailed Part 2 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass: accessories for you and your Pokémon (sunglasses, ribbons, bow ties), brand-new furniture and new arrivals including Doduo, Skitty, Braixen and Snubbull. It launches in late 2026, with no new town: that one is saved for Part 3, in 2027.
What the 9 September Nintendo Direct showed
A trailer dedicated to Part 2 of the Expansion Pass, aired during the Direct and then uploaded to the Pokémon YouTube channels. It confirms the theme of this second wave: customisation. Your Ditto avatar and the Pokémon around town will be able to wear accessories and coordinate their looks, and new furniture is coming for your interiors.
The game's page sums up the promise like this: dress up with accessories alongside your Pokémon friends, meet new Pokémon, and brighten your surroundings with brand-new furniture. It is not a complete surprise either: the extended trailer from late July already slipped in an accessorised Sneasel in one shot. The Direct turns that tease into a full programme.

Which accessories are coming in Part 2?
Three families are confirmed by the visuals: sunglasses, ribbons and bow ties. The screenshots and artwork released on 9 September also show a ruffled jabot, angel wings and flower hairclips, though no complete list has been shared.
The most telling exercise is looking at who wears what. In the beach scene, Squirtle and Dedenne pose in sunglasses next to a matching villager. In the photo-mode shot, Pikachu wears the same shades, while Snubbull combines a red bow tie with a polka-dot dress. If the water-turtle line is your team, the Blastoise crystal LED Pokéball lights up the desk while Squirtle struts on screen.

The ribbon is the most elaborate accessory: a pink-and-blue bow borrowed from Sylveon's look, worn on the head by the avatar and by Clefairy in a bedroom where Sylveon happens to be posing right next to them. The press immediately called it the Sylveon ribbon, a neat nod in a year when the Eevee family is everywhere. If that family is your side, the Espeon LED Pokéball on a wood stand plays the same pastel card on a shelf.

Which new Pokémon join Pokopia?
Four can be identified in the visuals released on 9 September: Doduo, Skitty, Braixen and Snubbull. None of them was in the game until now, and no total figure has been given. Sylveon, Clefairy, Dedenne, Pikachu and Squirtle also appear in the images, but they were already there: the news is that they now get dressed up.
Each newcomer gets its own staging. Skitty occupies a pink bedroom with a canopy bed and a heart-mirror vanity, two pieces of furniture never seen in the game before. Snubbull parades in a full outfit, Doduo pokes its two heads into the village street, and Braixen sits front and centre in a bow tie on the trailer's key visual. French outlet Pokekalos additionally identifies Dodrio, Delcatty and the full Fennekin line (Fennekin, Braixen, Delphox) in the Direct footage; those evolutions are still to be confirmed in the screenshots published on the game's page.

When does Expansion Pass Part 2 release?
Late 2026. No day, no month, no name: as of 9 September, Part 2 has no title yet, whereas the first wave was called Bubbly Basin. The game's page says "late 2026" in every language, and the Direct added nothing more precise.
Bubbly Basin followed the same path: announced without a date, then given a release day a few weeks before the content arrived, on 5 August. I expect the same scenario here, with a date set in an autumn announcement or Direct. Given the fashion theme and the stated window, a release before the holidays looks like the most logical bet, but that is a reading, not a fact.

No new town in Part 2, and that is deliberate
The game's page states it plainly: no new town will be introduced in Part 2. The fresh playground comes with Part 3, described as a new area to explore and rebuild, due in 2027. The pass therefore splits very cleanly.

For the first wave, access conditions mattered: you needed the Dive move and a completed request at Bleak Beach before seeing the underwater town. No requirement has been communicated for Part 2 at this stage.
Is the 34.99 euro pass worth it right now?
It depends on what keeps you playing. The Expansion Pass costs 34.99 euros (34.99 dollars in the US) on the eShop and is only sold as a bundle: there is no per-part purchase, Eurogamer.es describes it as a closed package and finds the price a bit steep for a game that already costs 70 to 80 euros depending on the edition. Buying it immediately grants Bubbly Basin, the Ditto-print pattern and 30 Rare Poké Metal ingots.
My honest take: if decorating, dressing up and photographing your Pokémon is what keeps you in Pokopia, Part 2 is built for you and the pass already pays for itself today with Bubbly Basin. If what you want is new ground to explore, the real deadline is Part 3 in 2027, and there is no rush: the pass will still be there, most likely at the same price, once the new town gets a date.
