VIZ Media is packing all 24 Pokémon movies into a single Blu-ray box set, stored inside a 12-inch Poké Ball that opens in half. Price: $399.99, exclusively on Amazon US, out November 24, 2026. Pre-orders are live. Here is what the box holds, the full movie list, and what to check before you order.

What is inside the Pokémon 24-Movie Collection?
The set gathers the 24 animated Pokémon movies released between 1998 and 2020 on 16 Blu-ray discs in 1080p, which adds up to 36 hours and 41 minutes of runtime according to the Amazon listing. Everything fits inside a rigid Poké Ball resting on a black stand, and the ball opens just like in the show to reveal the discs.
Inside, the discs slide into illustrated cardboard sleeves, each one decorated with a Pokémon from the matching movie, and the whole stack is held together by a large Pikachu slipcase. An art booklet comes with the discs, one page per film: artwork, year and a short write-up. Some discs carry a single movie, others share: the first three films sit together on disc 01, and disc 05 carries Destiny Deoxys, easy to spot from its artwork.
Until now, VIZ Media sold these films one by one or in small bundles, like the Movies 1-3 collection. This is the first time the publisher puts all of them in one box.

Which 24 movies are included in the box set?
The collection covers every animated feature film, from the original Mewtwo story of 1998 up to Secrets of the Jungle in 2020, 2019 remake included. Here they are in order, with the Japanese release year.

Two characters tower over this filmography. Mewtwo opens the saga in 1998 and reboots it in 2019 with the CGI remake: we told his full story in our article on Mewtwo's origins and powers. Fun detail: a Dragonite actually kicks off the whole saga, as the flying messenger that delivers Mewtwo's invitation in the opening minutes of the 1998 film. Why 24 movies, when most lists say 23?
Because the fourteenth film from 2011 exists in two versions, Black: Victini and Reshiram and White: Victini and Zekrom, and VIZ Media counts them separately. Most encyclopedias treat them as one movie with two cuts and land on 23; the American publisher splits them and reaches 24.
The two versions are not simple mirrors: the legendary at Ash's side changes, several scenes differ, and fans have argued since 2011 about which cut is the better one. Getting both in the box settles the debate. The 2019 remake Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution also counts as a full entry, even though it retells the 1998 story in CGI.

How big is this giant Poké Ball?
The Amazon listing gives exact measurements: 11.02 inches wide and 11.87 inches tall with the stand (28 by 30.2 cm). That is roughly the size of a basketball. In other words, this box set is as much a shelf piece as a way to watch movies, and that is clearly what VIZ Media was going for: the Poké Ball stands on its base, and the discs live inside it.

Does the set play outside the United States?
That is the one thing to check before ordering from Europe or elsewhere. The database Blu-ray.com lists the release as Region A, the zone covering the Americas and Japan, while European players are Region B. Plenty of animation Blu-rays ship without region locks in practice, but until someone tests this set, buying it from a Region B country is a gamble, unless you own a region-free player.
On the language side, the listed specs mention English audio in DTS-HD Master Audio with English subtitles. Collectors expect repressings of the existing VIZ discs, most of which carry the English dub only. So no French, Spanish or German tracks should be assumed until someone opens the box.

Is $399.99 a fair price?
Per movie, the set works out to $16.67, in line with what VIZ editions cost individually. What you are really paying for is the Poké Ball, the Pikachu slipcase and the booklet: the packaging is the product. Nintendo Life summed up the sticker shock nicely: "there are 24 now. 24." Add international shipping and customs if you order from abroad, and the picture is clear: at this price, it is a collector's piece for English-speaking fans with the right player, not a kid's holiday gift.
One more factor: the "limited edition" label, with no print run announced. Speculation is already visible across this 30th anniversary wave: the pair of Mew and Mewtwo figure boxes resold for more than double their suggested price at some American resellers before release day. When is the 25th Pokémon movie coming?
A 25th feature film is on the way: Pokémon Wild Card, announced for 2027 and animated by studio CloverWorks, with the trading card game at the center of the story. It will be the first movie in the saga since Secrets of the Jungle in 2020, which probably explains the timing of this box: re-releasing the first 24 films right before launching the next one, in the year of the franchise's 30th anniversary, is no coincidence.
