Pokémon Pokopia opens its next limited-time event on Monday, November 16, 2026 at 5:00 a.m.: Apples to Applin, running until Tuesday, December 1 at 4:59 a.m. Applin sets up shop outside the Pokémon Center, trades your Syrupy Apples for apple-themed items, and its four evolutions move into town. It is free, with update 2.0.1.

The announcement dropped on November 4, and the key art sets the mood: Hydrapple coiled in a tree, Appletun dozing next to a basket of apples, a pie waiting on the coffee table. After Pumpkaboo's Halloween event wrapped up on November 1, Pokopia rolls straight into candy apple season. And for once the newcomers are not a handful of Pokémon picked from all over the Pokédex: an entire family moves in at once.
What are the Apples to Applin event dates?
The Apples to Applin event runs from Monday, November 16, 2026 at 5:00 a.m. to Tuesday, December 1, 2026 at 4:59 a.m., on your console's clock. It requires game version 2.0.1, a repaired Pokémon Center, and it cannot be played on a Cloud Island.
Pokopia's end-of-year calendar is filling up nicely:
| When | What |
|---|---|
| Sunday, November 1 | End of Pumpkaboo's Halloween event |
| Monday, November 16, 5 a.m. | Apples to Applin begins |
| Tuesday, December 1, 4:59 a.m. | Event ends |
| Wednesday, December 9 | Dazzling Decorations DLC, part two of the Expansion Pass |
A full fifteen days, in line with the previous windows: since launching on March 5, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, Pokopia has kept up a rhythm of one event every five to six weeks. Hoppip opened the season in March, Sableye ran its gem hunt in spring, Jirachi filled the summer, Feebas late August, Pumpkaboo all of October. If your living room still calls for a ghost now that the pumpkins are packed away, our Gengar LED Pokéball on a wooden base keeps that mood going all year round.
Which Pokémon join Pokopia with this event?
Five Pokémon make their entrance: Applin, the Apple Core Pokémon of the Grass and Dragon type, and its four evolutions, Flapple, Appletun, Dipplin and Hydrapple. That is the complete apple family joining Pokémon Pokopia, and it spans two generations of games.
| Pokémon | Its kind of apple | First appearance |
|---|---|---|
| Applin | The apple a tiny dragon lives inside | Sword and Shield, 2019 |
| Flapple | The dragon gliding in an apple peel | Sword and Shield, 2019 |
| Appletun | The walking apple pie | Sword and Shield, 2019 |
| Dipplin | The candy apple coated in syrup | The Teal Mask DLC, 2023 |
| Hydrapple | The syrup hydra, the family's final form | The Indigo Disk DLC, 2023 |

The first three come from Galar, where Applin evolved into Flapple or Appletun depending on which apple you handed it. Dipplin and Hydrapple arrived four years later, in the two Scarlet and Violet DLCs. A detail long-time trainers will enjoy: Applin debuted in Sword and Shield on November 15, 2019. The Pokopia event starts on a November 16, seven years and one day later, and I like to think someone at Game Freak smiled while picking that date.

The whole family shares the Grass and Dragon typing, which makes Applin the least intimidating gateway to dragons in the entire Pokédex. In our house, the resident dragon lights up the nightstand: the Charizard LED Pokéball on a wooden base, a 3D-engraved sphere on its glowing stand, stays at 29.99 euros while Pokopia hands out its apples.
How do Syrupy Apples and habitats work?
The loop is simple: Applin waits outside the Pokémon Center, you bring it Syrupy Apples gathered in the Dream Isles, and it trades them for apple-themed items. Those items are used to build habitats, and each finished habitat draws one of the family's evolutions into your town.

The Syrupy Apple is a time-limited item, specific to the event. Among the rewards, Serebii lists seeds for syrupy apple trees: enough to plant your own orchard and harvest without a trip to the Dream Isles every single run. Pokekalos adds a loyalty reward on top: after nine trades, identical or not, Applin hands over an exclusive photo frame.
In all honesty: the exact list of furniture and its price in apples has not been published yet, The Pokémon Company is keeping the details for November 16. What is certain is the general pattern, the same one as Hoppip's cotton spores back in March: you collect, you trade, you decorate, and the Pokémon follow the furniture.
How should you prepare before November 16?
Three things to sort out before kick-off: install update 2.0.1, finish repairing the Pokémon Center if that is still pending, and plan to play on your main island, since the event does not trigger on a Cloud Island. Everything else improvises just fine from 5 a.m. on the 16th.

A wink for the connoisseurs: the Syrupy Apple is the exact item that turns Applin into Dipplin in Scarlet and Violet. Pokopia takes the same apple and turns it into a currency. And the little dragon really is everywhere this month: it also shows up in the Field Research of Pokémon GO's Twilight Wishes event, from November 24 to 26. November 2026 will go down as the month of Applin.
What comes after the event?
The end of the apples leads straight into the next calendar entry: Apples to Applin wraps up in the early hours of December 1, and the Dazzling Decorations DLC, part two of Pokopia's Expansion Pass, lands on December 9 with accessories for your Pokémon to wear.

And if you miss the window? Bulbapedia notes that Pokopia's events are hardcoded into the game and return every year on the same dates, as long as your console's clock falls within the period. Some have even had two windows in the same year, like Bulbasaur's jump rope contest, which ran in April and again in September. The apples should therefore be back in November 2027. The nine-trade photo frame, though, is earned now, not next year.

And if Pokémon decor appeals to you as much in the living room as in Pokopia, the 29 models of the light-up Pokéball collection are waiting on their stands, with free shipping across Europe and not a single Syrupy Apple to farm.
