On August 20, 2026, The Pokémon Company detailed Delta Reign, the sixth expansion in the Pokémon TCG's Mega Evolution series, hitting shelves worldwide on November 6, 2026. On the menu: a 103-card main set, Mega Rayquaza ex back after an eleven-year absence, Legendary Stadium cards played in pairs, and a full product lineup already priced in dollars.

What is the Delta Reign expansion?
Delta Reign is the sixth main expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's Mega Evolution series. It releases in stores on November 6, 2026, and one day earlier on Pokémon TCG Live, with a 103-card main set, more than 135 cards counting secret rares, and Mega Rayquaza ex on the cover.
The announcement dropped on August 20 on pokemon.com, product packshots included. The set code, DLR, is printed in the bottom-left corner of the first revealed cards. If you order imports, the name changes with the language: Règne Delta in French, Delta-Herrschaft in German, Dominio Delta in Spanish.

The content doesn't come out of nowhere: Delta Reign brings over the Japanese Storm Emeralda set, released in Japan on July 31, 2026, which we broke down in our Storm Emeralda expansion guide. Same Hoenn-flavored cast, same paired Stadiums, same dragon in charge. Western expansions usually combine the main Japanese set with cards from other Japanese products, so the full 103-card list will be known by release day.

Which cards are in Delta Reign?
The press release puts numbers on the contents: 4 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, 6 more Pokémon ex, 6 Stadium cards recreating three Legendary Stadiums, 14 illustration rare Pokémon, 17 ultra rare cards, 6 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporters, and more than 20 Trainer cards. All told, over 35 cards carry a special illustration.
All four Megas are known: Mega Rayquaza ex (084/103), Mega Golisopod ex (011/103), Mega Golurk ex (047/103) and Mega Malamar ex (069/103). The latter three debuted in the Mega Dimension DLC of Pokémon Legends: Z-A before making the jump to cardboard. As for the Hoenn dragon, pokemon.com sums it up in one line: "Mega Rayquaza ex descends from the sky, bringing unparalleled strength to battle." Its last playable card dates back to XY: Ancient Origins, in 2015.

The card reads fast: 280 HP, Colorless type, and the Storm Emerald attack, 50 damage multiplied by the number of Fire and Lightning Energy attached to all of your Pokémon, bench included. Its Ruler's Roar Ability digs through the top 4 cards of your deck to attach a Basic Energy the moment the card hits your bench from your hand. Effect for effect, it is the Japanese 058/076 we described in our summer guide, now with Western numbering.

How do Legendary Stadiums work?
A Legendary Stadium is a Stadium card split into two halves that cannot be played separately. The rule printed on Legendary Summit (096/103 and 097/103) spells it out: you must combine the two halves from your hand and play them as a single Stadium card. Side by side, their artworks merge into one.
Delta Reign has three of them, one per Hoenn legendary: the wind-swept summit for Rayquaza, the ocean trench for Kyogre, the lava lake for Groudon, named Legendary Summit, Legendary Ocean Trench and Legendary Lava Lake. A well-thought-out detail: any booster pack containing one half also contains the other, so no orphan halves at the bottom of a binder.

The summit's effect, read straight off the card: whenever a Colorless Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from an attack, its owner gives up one fewer Prize card. Mega Rayquaza ex happens to be Colorless, and the Mega Evolution rule hands your opponent three Prizes when one goes down. With this Stadium in play, the bill drops to two. Japan has been playing this mechanic since July 31 in Storm Emeralda; Delta Reign is its first release outside Japan.
Which products release on November 6?
The lineup follows the usual Mega Evolution pattern: 10-card booster packs with an Energy card and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live, 36-count and 18-count booster displays, an Elite Trainer Box, a three-pack blister, single-pack blisters and a 6-pack booster bundle. US suggested prices are already circulating; European prices are not out yet.

The Elite Trainer Box commits to Mega Rayquaza all the way: sleeves and coin with the dragon on them, damage dice, dividers and a player's guide, plus the foil Kyogre promo carried over from the Japanese print run. The press packshots also show single-pack blisters bundled with a Totodile coin, a format that does not always reach European shelves, and two premium blisters with Delphox and Ampharos promos. The electric sheep gets its moment; if it happens to be your favorite, the Ampharos LED Poké Ball on a wooden stand keeps it lit all year round, for €29.99.

As for European prices, nothing was listed by retailers as of August 22. The US suggested prices give you the order of magnitude in the meantime, and the gap seen on every set in this series stays reasonable as long as you buy at release rather than through speculative preorders.
When to preorder, and at what price?
The calendar fits in three dates. Play! Pokémon prereleases run from October 24 to November 1 in participating stores, with the Build and Battle Box at $21.99. Pokémon TCG Live gets the expansion on November 5. The worldwide store release closes the sequence on November 6, 2026.
One piece of advice we repeat before every big release: never pay above MSRP for a preorder. On this summer's 30th anniversary wave, we saw boxes listed at two to five times their shelf price before release day. Delta Reign will be printed in huge quantities, like the rest of the Mega Evolution series: pre-release scarcity is artificial and melts away within the first week.
Note that November 6 will be a busy day: the Umbreon and Espeon Ultra-Premium Collections and the Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections release on that same date. Worth factoring in before the holiday budget takes shape.
And if the goal is mostly to display the Hoenn dragon above your desk, our Mega Rayquaza crystal LED Poké Ball engraves it in 3D for €29.99, roughly the price of six boosters, with no pull rates involved. Fans of the Kanto dragon get the Charizard crystal LED Poké Ball at the same price, a nod to the series that put Mega Charizard front and center in Phantasmal Flames. Yes. Its last playable card dates back to XY: Ancient Origins, released in 2015. Eleven years later, Mega Rayquaza ex returns as the cover card with 280 HP, the Storm Emerald attack and the status of most anticipated card of the year's end.
